The UK’s booming fried chicken market is about to get a bold new player as Dubai-based Bonbird prepares to launch across the country. City Restaurants Group (CRG), the powerhouse behind Afrikana and Mowchi, has secured an exclusive franchise agreement with Yolk Brands to bring BonBird to the British market, with plans for 50 locations over the next five years. The first five UK stores are set to open within the next 12 months.
BonBird, inspired by East London-style community chicken shop concepts, serves a variety of bone-in and boneless chicken options, including fried chicken tenders, burgers, melts, and wraps, available in five signature spice levels - from classic ‘chicken salt’ to the fiery ‘XXX hot’.
Bonbird Set to Disrupt the UK’s Fried Chicken Scene
With fried chicken dominating the UK’s fast-casual dining sector, Bonbird aims to be a distinctive brand offering a variety of unique, high-quality and flavourful chicken options.
